First Thursday of the season. Very familiar pub as we spend every night after practice in there.
Danced all the new ones . Mark the Landlord generously supplied us with beer.
Sang a few songs and had a very pleasant outing.

Danced at 1400 hours on grass that was wet.
I do not think any body had danced during a hail shower but we have now.
No pictures but the sight of Martin with a bin bag over his melodian, Peter jumping as a lump of hail disappeared down his back, and Roger in full kit plus hat on top of a blue plastic cape will live long in the memory.
Debrief in the Woolpack.

0515: All meet at Smallhythe Bridge with beer barrel supplied by Rother Valley Brewery, Weald Bitter an excellent session beer much needed to await the Sun that never really arrived. An exceptional cake from Martins mother in law and another cake as a present from Loose Women. Gwen provide a posy for each person, they get more impressive each time. Little John not in kit to much consternation of the men but having us on as kit in Rowans car.
0531: Sung and danced the sun up then at 0630 off to the Swan at Wittersham for a slap up breakfast and a warm welcome.
Off in battle bus to Winchelsea, to the Church to dance and say hello to Spike. On the way our driver Tony Kulikowski left us in not doubt about the efficacy of foreign drivers. Explained to Vicar what we were doing and entertained huge crowd of 2 young women and a child.
Rye Harbour to slide in the mud and then annoy the local by dancing outside the Harbour Café.
Sat down for a pleasant interlude for coffee and made new acquaintances who invited us to dance .
Visited The Mary Stanford Memorial for a quiet moment then into Rye.
Decided against £12 for a coach park after much vibrant discussion of how and where to park the Bus. Made comment on the value of 11 back seat drivers.
Danced outside the Cinque Port Arms then at the Gun Battery. Nice audience and our mystery follower Cpt. Clegg appeared and did the rounds and collected. Not aware of any fingers left inside the bag.
Down to the Strand for a dance amongst the cars. Then lunch.
Back to Smallhythe (NT) at around 1530. Only rain for us that day. Danced on wet grass had a very welcome beer supplied by Paul the CAMRA man.
Then collected and taken home with many a stiff leg.
The side had been followed all day by a group of strange people who constantly were seen from the corner of the eye. Turned out to be the groupies Pat, Sarah, and Ella.
